The Walkers give their highest recommendation to Rabbi Lebowitz as a mohel. Vis-a-vis halachic, medical, and human matters, we doubt there is a finer mohel in California.

I was speaking to my pediatrician at Kaiser about how I thought his circumcision was healing and how happy I was that it was behind us and how well I thought everything went. You did a great job!. The doctor told me that now that he knows we went with a Orthodox Mohel he could tell me that he thinks everyone (including non jews) should use a orthodox mohel for circumcisions. He said "I bet he didn't even cry." I told him that he did NOT even cry. He said that he had seen many hospital circumcisions and if people knew what happens to their sons behind the doors, they would be appalled. Of course, he can not advise people to do anything outside of Kaiser but he was happy to hear that we had gone the old school traditional route.

"Rabbi Lebowitz did the bris for our first son. He was absolutely fantastic. Extremely professional, extremely organized and sanitary, had a great sense of humor during the ceremony but was also focused, and was well-versed in the ceremony, which makes sense because he is an orthodox rabbi. A few hours after the bris, he came by to check on our little guy and the bandage. The bandage was not ready to be taken off so he actually came back the next day, driving all the way up to San Francisco from Palo Alto. Our little boy looked great and Rabbi Lebowitz explained exactly what the healing would look like and was very patient with all of our questions. He even picked up our baby boy and easily soothed the baby in his arms when holding him. My wife and I couldn't be more happy with our son's bris and Rabbi Lebowitz as our mohel. Our pediatrician was also impressed. I recommend Rabbi Lebowitz with great confidence. He's talented and a mensch."

Recommendation from Jaqueline Bocian:
Rabbi Lebowitz and his family have lived in the Bay Area for 10 years and he understands the mindset of people in this area and is able to relate to their questions and concerns. His warmth, compassion and expertise will make new parents comfortable with him and earn their trust. In addition to using the latest techniques and medications to enable the baby to heal as quickly and painlessly as possible, Rabbi Lebowitz has the parental compassion that every parent looks for in choosing a mohel. If there are any medical concerns, Rabbi Lebowitz will bring a pediatrician to the circumcision to provide any necessary advice or assistance. R. Lebowitz can also instruct new parents as to how to set up a brit milah ceremony that is a delightful celebration of their baby's birth. I recommend him heartily. |
"Rabbi Lebowitz made our son's bris a meaningful experience. Combining humor and caring with a well-deserved confidence, Rabbi Lebowitz did an amazing job! And his post-procedure follow-up was proactive and professional. We recommend Rabbi Lebowitz without hesitation for all your bris needs!"
Guy Wilnai, Palo Alto, CA "As a dermatologic surgeon I was truly impressed by the technical skill and swiftness of a bris performed by Rabbi Lebowitz at Emek Bracha. Equally impressive was his ability to provide explanatory walk-through of the procedure with clarity and humor. The event was infused with great simcha and Rabbi Lebowitz was crucial in facilitating the collective mitzvah!" Daniel Navi, M.D. |
