Rabbi Avi Lebowitz

Rabbi Avi Lebowitz is a certified mohel, trained by the world renowned Rabbi Moshe Weissberg of Jerusalem and interned as a mohel in the Sha'arei Tzedek Medical Center of Jerusalem. Rabbi Lebowitz received his Rabbinic ordination from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore and currently serves as the Educational Director of the Jewish Study Network in Palo Alto. Being trained in caring for children in the raising of his own six children together with his wife Fia, Rabbi Lebowitz is able to merge his professionalism with his compassionate approach making the family and baby as comfortable as possible. The use of modern medicines to control bleeding and topical anesthetics to comfort the baby after the bris are standard practice allowing the focus to be on the meaningful experience of the bris.
